2024 Update for Fingal Junior Triathlon Club

2024 has been a relatively quiet year as we endeavor to get our junior club back up and running. 
In late 2023 we held a Halloween Camp which was very well attended. This was held in ALSAA and Applewood community Centre. 
During the year we had sessions in Corkagh Park and ALSAA Sports Campus and there were also sessions held by other Leinster Clubs that we were invited to as a club. Some of our members took part in these sessions as well. 
A number of our juniors also took part in the Triathlon Ireland Leinster Training Hub sessions which were held in various locations in Leinster. 
These hubs are for 10-17 years olds and are coached by TI accredited coaches. 

We had a summer camp in late July and we had both members and non-members take part which was great! This was held on Shenick Green in Skerries. 

There was plenty of racing throughout the year and we had a few of our juniors take part in our own Skerries Triathlon on the 18th of August.  

Going into Q4 of 2024 and early 2025 we will be going back to our monthly training days (we held these from 2016 - 2020 until Covid-19 put a stop to it) at the National Sports Campus. This will be a Run/Cycle and swim session. 

We would encourage any parents of children to sign their children up the club and even better if they want to get involved themselves. We are always looking for more coaches and helpers.
