Fingal Triathlon Club Safeguarding Statement

Fingal Triathon Club is dedicated to the promotion of the sport of triathlon for juniors in the Fingal area and indeed further afield.

We strive to foster a culture of health and wellbeing while taking part in the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running. Care and safety of all children taking part in events with Fingal Triathlon Club is paramount to our ethos.

We are guided and governed by the governing body of Triathlon Ireland.

All our coaches and volunteers go through the standard vetting procedure and safeguarding training as set down by law.

Childrens First Act

The newly commenced provisions of the Children First Act, including mandated reporting, will be in effect from 11th December 2017. Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children is intended to help people to recognise child abuse and neglect, and report concerns to Tusla.
