Child Safety in Sport

Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport is a national, year-round campaign run by the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit to raise awareness of the important role parents play in keeping their child safe and happy in sport.

Get Involved:
All of our club childrens officers are volunteers, many of whom are parents. Club safeguarding personnel are integral to the club structure by ensuring safe recruitment of coaches and volunteers, safe practices at sessions and child centred environment in the club. The TI safeguarding team can help you to get trained up to be a Junior assistant in your club.

Keeping Children Safe:
One of the ways we are supporting parents to ensure their clubs are safe is by asking them to look out for our Safeguarding poster on their club website, socials or newsletter. This poster will provide key contacts in the club, links to policies and reporting contacts. Clubs will display this along with their Child Safeguarding Statement.
